  • Desktop Publishing (extensions: mif, idml, icml, dita)
  • Interchange Formats (extensions: csv, tsv, xml, dtd, json, yaml)
  • Programming (extensions: php, properties, ts, resx, wix, strings)
  • Subtitles (extensions: srt, vtt, sbv)

Formats supported via external conversion

  • Non scanned Portable Documents (extensions: pdf)

The CloudConvert web service is used to convert the above formats into directly supported ones. Conversion is one-way only and to be considered experimental.

Formats supported using MateCAT Win Converter

  • Scanned Portable Documents (extensions: pdf)
  • Images (extensions: bmp, gif, png, jpg, jpeg, tif, tiff)

MateCAT Win Converter transforms some file types in formats directly supported by Matecat Filters, using external commercial facilities.
It uses Nuance OCR SDK to convert images and scanned PDFs in DOCX.
